You can complete the mission in Red Dead Redemption described in this guide only after helping Dickens with the horse-drawn wagon race in the quest Liars, Cheats, and Other Proud Americans.
Reach Dickens, who is near the oil rig.
Tip: Do this only between 5 and 10 PM, otherwise, you won't find the character there. If you arrive later, there is a rentable place nearby where you can pass the time.
Dickens asks you to accompany him to friends in the oil business, located a few meters from the meeting place, to sell another product. You need to blend in with the crowd before the show starts, but as soon as it begins, a few unknowns will appear with accusations against Dickens. Get into the wagon with your charlatan friend and shoot back at the bandits from the passenger seat. On the way, you will encounter a barricaded road — shoot at the wagon to make it explode.
Continue defending against the bandits and do not let them deal much damage to Dickens, otherwise, the mission will fail. Upon arrival at the destination, the mission will be completed. You will receive +37 points to the Fame parameter.
