Man is Born Unto Trouble — Red Dead Redemption Mission Walkthrough
After completing the Frenchman, a Welshman, and an Irishman mission in Red Dead Redemption, the Irish promised us a machine gun that we never saw. This mission is the second chance to get the weapon.
Reach Irish's location marked on the map at Benedict Point and talk to him.
After a short dialogue, mount your horse and follow the Irish. Upon arrival, you will see a mine used for transporting heavy ores. But you need it to be used as an elevator to lift the weapon to the surface.
The next task is to find a way into the mine. Sneak into the camp and clear it of bandits guarding the descent inside. You will find the mine at the end of the camp, also marked with a yellow marker on the map.
Enter the mine and eliminate all the bandits that hinder you from reaching the marker on the map where the Gatling gun is located.
In the mine, you will see a fork: we recommend choosing the left path as it is safer.
After reaching the machine gun, take the cart and move it to the marked point on the map to the desired adit. At the top, Irish will be waiting to lift you along with the cart. Next, you need to transport the cart to the foot of the hill, shooting back at newly arrived bandits. Once Irish leaves with the machine gun, the mission will be considered completed, and you will receive +125 points to the Fame parameter and a new fame level — Novice. This means that word of your deeds is spreading across the country.
