Rumor: new Mafia game could be a reboot

According to insider Kurakasis, whose rumors have often been confirmed, shared new information about the next part of Mafia. According to him, the game could be a reboot of the entire series.
«If what I saw was for a new game, it looks like it’s going to be a reboot of the series without the number 4 in the title. However, this is just my interpretation, and it might have been groundwork for future marketing for the entire series, hence the use of the general name "Mafia"», Kurakasis wrote on his page on X (Twitter).
Earlier, insider Kurakasis and the Czech publication Vortex reported that the new Mafia will be announced at Summer Game Fest. The forecast did not come true — instead of Mafia, the company 2K presented the strategy Sid Meier's Civilization 7.
