Apparently, the source code of GTA San Andreas has leaked online
As users write, the source code of the original Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has begun to circulate online. In addition, the first screenshots with the contents of the archive have appeared.
According to the author of the original post with the nickname NationalPepper, the archive weighing almost 5 GB is password-protected, but the network is already trying to make money by selling keys to it. Most likely, over time, fans will find a way to access the files. However, there are already the first screenshots with the code and some finds — for example, a mention of skateboards. One of the developers of GTA San Andreas, Obbe Vermeij, confirmed that skateboards could have been both transport and weapons, but the mechanics were cut.
As noted on Reddit, in 2021, the code for GTA San Andreas from the Definitive Edition version already leaked online. However, then only the content for the missions ended up in the hands of hackers. In addition, the code for the original GTA SA was indeed distributed online long before this leak, but exclusively in private circles.
Earlier, a second trailer for the large-scale GTA Miami Connection mod was released for San Andreas, the events of which will take place in Miami in 2010 with a new protagonist.
