80% of Rockstar Games veterans are working on GTA 6
Recently, former Rockstar Games technical director Obbe Vermeij said that the development of GTA 6 is in good hands. According to him, the studio has retained the overwhelming majority of veterans in its ranks.
The developer said on social networks that 80% of his colleagues from GTA 4 are still working at Rockstar North. Thus, almost the same people who released the classic trilogy and the extremely successful GTA 5 are working on the new part of Grand Theft Auto. Obbe Vermeij did not specify which veterans remained in the studio, but they definitely include Rockstar co-founder Sam Houser, art director Aaron Garbut, and RDR2 director Rob Nelson.
Recall that the console release of GTA 6 is scheduled for autumn 2025.
Earlier, Obbe Vermeil suggested that the PC version of GTA 6 would be delayed by almost a year and a half.
