Take-Two CEO Discusses GTA 6 Release on PC
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick attended the TD Cowen conference, where he answered a question about the release of GTA 6 on PC. It's evident that the game will come to the popular platform, but the top executive is not yet ready to make a full announcement.
Zelnick did not confirm the existence of a PC version but reminded that Rockstar is accustomed to releasing ports after the console launch.
"Rockstar has an approach to platforms which we’ve seen before, and they will make more announcements in due time. I do believe that the right strategy for our business is to be where the consumer is, and historically what this company has done is address consumers anywhere they are, on any platform that makes sense, over time," said Zelnick.
When Rockstar Games were released:
- GTA 4 — April 29, 2008 (PS3 and Xbox 360) and December 2, 2008 (PC);
- GTA 5 — September 17, 2013 (PS3 and Xbox 360) and April 14, 2015 (PC);
- L.A. Noire — May 17, 2011 (PS3 and Xbox 360) and November 8, 2011 (PC);
- Red Dead Redemption 2 — October 26, 2018 (PS4 and Xbox One) and November 5, 2019 (PC).
Previously, Strauss Zelnick promised that GTA 6 would provide players with an unprecedented experience. The publisher is in no hurry to reveal the price, but some believe it will be $80.
