Rockstar registered new patent, potentially for GTA 6
Take-Two Interactive filed a new patent for Rockstar-developed system for managing NPC navigation including vehicle road routes and its behavior. The system is entitled ‘System And Method For Virtual Navigation In A Gaming Environment’.
It is designed to create “a realistic virtual world that is not limited by hardware and software limitations,” which is a response to conventional systems that are unable to produce this kind of NPC behaviors. One line of the patent explains the system is for “virtual navigation and management of objects in a multiplayer network gaming community.”
The patent also describes modern vehicles, weapons, and characters. Also there is an example of a map of two islands. This may confirm the leaks that GTA 6 could take place in Vice City.
