A new trend began on YouTube: a cutscene from the first Franklin mission became famous once again. The scene includes Lamar roasting Franklin and saying the N-word in the end.

Youtubers are replacing the sound and model of Lamar to get absurd and hilarious scenes.

The origins of the meme

According to Know Your Meme, on the 13th of May 2020 Twitter user leosleepy uploaded a clip with Lamar’s voice replaced by SpongeBob’s. Video received over 50k likes and 448k views.

On the 17th of June 2020 youtuber Hit Content Productions replaced Lamar with SpongeBob in the same scene. Video was viewed over 2 million times in half a year.

Since the latter was released, the meme started gaining popularity and other youtubers started providing even more absurd variations of the dialogue.
