This mod is a balanced ReShade preset designed for the PC version of Red Dead Redemption and adapted for SDR displays.
Goals of this modification:
To create a ReShade preset specifically designed for the PC version and tuned for SDR images (HDR support may be added later).
To give the image a more modern look and feel, without excessive changes, using improved, customized ambient lighting, improved motion, and increased sharpness.
To maintain brightness close to the vanilla version, slightly increasing contrast, especially at night.
Custom SSR (screen space reflections) to balance their use without excessive grain or artifacts.
To use LUT and color correction to improve the color palette, especially to eliminate the green tint in the vanilla version.
To find a balance between useful effects and performance, avoiding effects that overly impact performance.
Recommended settings in the game's "Graphics" section:
Shadow quality "high" or lower.
Shadow softness CHSS, but this is at your discretion.
Shadow blending "point".
Anti-aliasing: the author used AMD FSR 3 and native anti-aliasing, but you can improve performance with DLSS if you prefer. If using AMD FSR 3, leave the additional sharpening at a minimum, as this preset uses its own CAS, which looks better, but using both leads to excessive sharpness and a cartoonish look.
Motion blur is set to "improved" - the author tried various motion blur options and found that Uber Motion + improved in-game works best, while Vort Motion blurs the minimap and uses more resources.
Place the file from the archive into the Red Dead Redemption directory (where PlayRDR.exe is located).
Launch RDR, press the Home key on your keyboard and select the installed preset from the list.
Then click on "Edit global preprocessor definitions". The RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED variable will be set to 1, you need to change its value to 0.

Вставить файл из архива в директорию Red Dead Redemption (где находится PlayRDR.exe).
