Optimized settings for 2 Gb VideoRam graphic cards v1.5.
Some are facing an issue where the game won't let them use medium quality textures. This happens if you have a video card with 2GB of video memory on board.
The settings files I changed solve this problem.
Optimized settings are a combination of low, medium, and high settings to maintain balance.
They squeeze maximum quality and FPS out of video cards with 2 GB GDDR5 memory.
The archive contains three folders:
1. 1600x900 (v1.5) - Emphasis on quality. Lost about 5-7 FPS compared to "Optimized Settings". Texture quality - High. Gets 30-40 FPS on GTX 950.
2. 1920x1080 (v1.3) - Balance between quality and performance. Most of the parameters are set to "High". Texture quality set to "Medium".
3. Optimized Settings (v1.1) - Balance between quality and performance. Texture quality - Medium. You can choose between several screen resolutions. Gets about 35-45 FPS on GTX 950 at 1440x900 screen resolution.
How to install:
Download, unpack, select one of the 3 system.xml files depending on the screen resolution and place this file in .... Documents/Rockstar Games/Red Dead Redemption 2/Settings.
To restore the game settings to default, simply delete the system.xml file and start the game. It will automatically create a new system.xml file.
Important! Your video card must have at least 2 GB of VRAM and support the Vulkan API. Check the specifications of your video card. (GTX 670 and below).
