ВАЗ 2105 VFTS

Conversion of a high-quality rally car model VAZ 2105 from GTA San Andreas to GTA Vice City.

Anyone involved in rallying in the Soviet Union pronounced the word VFTS (Vilnius Factory of Transport Vehicles) with a special feeling. Many dreamed of getting a VAZ-2105 VFTS, but the supercars of the Vilnius factory of transport vehicles, with rare exceptions, were available only to members of the national team. And for some foreign races, even VAZ pilots drove Lithuanian cars! The heyday of VFTS was the beginning of the eighties. The factory, which occupied an area of about 1500 square meters, had an experimental workshop, a design bureau, laboratories for testing engines and electronics. Every year, a team of 50 people made up to 200 racing cars of various levels of preparation. First, sports VAZ-21011 of Group A with an engine capacity of 1600 cc were built, and with the introduction of Group B in the world rally, a new model was prepared according to its requirements. VAZ-2105 VFTS became the most successful project of the Vilnius factory - on it, the pilots of the USSR national team several times won the Socialist Countries Cup in the team standings and a number of stages in the individual standings. The possibilities of VFTS were also appreciated by foreign pilots - the cars were successfully sold in Sweden, Norway, Germany and even in Panama and Colombia. Basically, local importers of VAZ cars performed on them. But someone bought the Lada as a training car - among the cars with such a serious level of preparation, the Soviet one, which then cost about 20 thousand dollars, was, perhaps, the most affordable. The museum of the chief designer of VFTS, Stasys Brundza, houses a Porsche 911, which one of the Bulgarian teams exchanged for two VAZ-2105 VFTS. The Group B regulations allowed for changing the car's track - the racing "five" was noticeably wider than the standard one, and also, in the construction of the car, fiberglass, aluminum and titanium alloys were widely used. From the latter, for example, connecting rods, valve spring plates and a safety cage were made. The power of the 1600-cubic-centimeter supercharged engine, equipped with two horizontal Weber carburetors, reached 160 hp. A five-speed cam gearbox designed at VFTS worked in tandem with the engine. The kinematics of the suspension was changed, more powerful brakes were installed on all wheels. It was planned to build a car with all-wheel drive transmission, but they did not have time to do it - in 1989, FIA banned Group B. And a couple of years later, the USSR national team ceased to exist. VFTS, transformed into an independent enterprise EVA (Experimental Vilnius Automobile Plant), for several more years prepared cars based on the "eights", but in independent Lithuania this was no longer needed by anyone, and gradually the racing production was transformed into a group of enterprises for the sale and maintenance of imported cars.

Installation:

You must install DMagic Wheel Mod to work!

1) Replace bloodra.dff bloodra.txd in gta3.img with any img editor, for example IMG TOOL 2.0; after replacing, click Rebuild Archive.

2) Replace bloodra.col in the vehicles.col file (located in models/coll/) with any COL file editor, for example Coll Editor 2.

3) Open the handling.cfg file (located in the data folder) with any text editor, find the line responsible for BLOODRA settings;

Replace the line with this:

Save the file.

4) Open the carcols.dat file (located in the data folder) with any text editor, find the line responsible for BLOODRA colors;

Replace the line with this:

bloodra, 3,1, 79,1, 64,1

Save the file.

5) Open the Default.ide file, located in the data folder, find the line responsible for BLOODRA settings;

replace the line with this:

234, bloodra, bloodra, car, BLOODRA, BLOODRA, null, ignore, 10, 7, 4fff, 249, 0.675

Save the file.

Bonus: 4 different skins.

To install the skin, replace bloodra.txd in gta3.img.

The model was converted using Autodesk 3dsMax 2010, using GTA Kam's Script, GTA .dff plugin by Seggaeman, Sa2VC Car Converter by aleks926820.
