This mods ports content from PS2 version to PC. reVC launcher can read PS2 and XBOX files natively.
I put together the resources from the PS2 version and edited them slightly to work on PC.
Warning: mod may not work on extremely low-end PCs because of how files are read.
All the content was ported from GTA Vice City PAL 1.0 SLES-51061
Includes:
- All models and textures from PS2
- main.scm from PS2
- PS2 map
- PS2 animation
- PS2 graphics
Now the game looks exactly like PS2 version
Untouched:
Sounds and radio (you can use them from other mods, if you want)
HUD
To install the mod, you need:
- A clean PC copy of GTA Vice City version 1.0 or 1.1
- A working copy of reVC for your platform of choice
Before launching, set your screen resolution in the reVC.ini file using a text editor:
[VideoMode]
Width=1920
Height=1080
If you have a custom reVC.ini, then it's IMPORTANT to set this parameter:
BackfaceCulling=0
To turn on PS2 TRAILS effect, change the COLOR FILTER option from SIMPLE to NORMAL
To install other modifications, it's advised to put the .dff and .txd files to modloader.img
