SilentPatchSA 1.1 Build 24
GTA SA is a great game, but it has some problems. This little plugin looks at some of them.
It focuses mainly on fixing bugs that are present on PC but not present on the PS2 version of the game.

- Frame delay of 14 ms has been removed. As a result, the game is now capped at 30 FPS instead of 25 FPS
- Clarification of the frame limiter, slight reduction in lag when playing with it
- Game FPS is limited to 1000 FPS (with the frame limiter disabled) to prevent freezing during screen blackouts
- The mouse should no longer randomly lock when exiting the menu on new systems
- NUM5 is now tetherable (as in 1.01)
- 16:9 resolutions are now selectable (as in 1.01)
- If the settings file is missing, the game will now set the desktop resolution as opposed to 800x600x32
- Removed dependency on DirectPlay - this should improve compatibility with Windows 8 and newer
- Fixed a bunch of problems in one place (did not affect the gameplay, but could potentially lead to the game crashing)
- EAX/NVIDIA screensavers are now removed (can be turned on/off; OFF by default)
- The sizes of radio texts and subtitles can now be switched between the original and the updated Steam version (default Steam sizes)
- The color of the district name now matches the color of the gang it owns (Los Santos only) (can be turned on/off; OFF by default)
- Reflections on wet roads are displayed again (same as with Road Reflections Fix)
- Helicopter rotors and airplane propellers now work correctly. They now have the blur effect present in the VC and PS2 versions of SA. This fix can be disabled separately for each transport via the INI file
- Hunter's interior does not disappear when viewed through the glass door panel
- Dual rear wheels are now displayed correctly (Yosemite, Tanker, etc.)
- Weapons are now visible through the windows of vehicles
- Exploded vehicles are now correctly colored and no longer shine (like in 1.01 and Steam versions)
- Dirty cars can now be cleaned (as in 1.01)
- Each car now has a unique license plate
- Custom license plates are now displayed correctly in all cases
- Custom license plates are now also allowed on ! bikes! - License plates now have bilinear filtering for a smoother appearance
- Vehicle headlights no longer turn dark after initially being on (like on PS2)
- Fallen parts of the vehicle now remain with the same color as the car
- Fallen parts of the vehicle are now displayed on both sides
- Moon phases are now displayed correctly, as on the PS2 version (only when playing in 32-bit color mode)
- Turning on the car headlights no longer makes the windows invisible when viewed from the inside
- The illumination value from timecyc.dat is now allowed to be any in the range 0.0-2.0, and not just 0.0, 1.0 and 2.0
- Lights are now correctly cast on vehicles and peds - previously they would disappear under some circumstances
- Additionally, when playing with a higher effects quality set, the game will now cast up to 6 lights per model both outside and in the interior (on Low it remains the same - up to 4 lights on the outside and up to 6 on the interior).
- Introduced several fixes for displaying objects with an alpha channel, including experimental two-pass rendering (see SilentPatchSA.ini for details; can be toggled on/off, OFF by default). Double pass can be chosen to use the Silent code or the aap code - the latter has a purpose in relation to the PS2 emulation of the alpha test
- Muzzle flash now looks better
- Muzzle flash will now be displayed when the last bullet is fired from the ! clip! - Crowns no longer have a Z-test, which was always forced before - as a result, the sun's glare now corresponds to the original PS2 version
- With automatic scanning of user tracks enabled, MP3 playback will now work correctly if QuickTime is not installed
- Custom tracks now support FLAC codec (Only 8/16/24 bit, Mono/Stereo and up to 48 kHz)
- PCM WAVE has been expanded to also accept additional profiles (Now 8/16/24 bit, Mono/Stereo and up to 48 kHz)
- PCM WAVE files with ID3-TAG will now also work with the game
- Temple and Queens are now correctly heard on the police radio
- Traveling far off the map will no longer cause a glitch with extra gang territories and will not damage the taxi driver sub-mission
- Fixed the gym glitch (“You’ve already worked hard enough...” is shown endlessly) (can be turned on/off; ENABLED by default)
- Saving at Madd Dogg's mansion will no longer cause a glitch with basketballs disappearing (can be turned on/off; ON by default)
- In addition, these garages will now store the player’s car after he is arrested
- The list of stream objects has been expanded slightly so that the game world should no longer blink when looking down with high draw distance settings
- The mouse rotates the car in the air only with the "Mouse rotation control" option enabled
- The tow truck towbar is no longer bugged after repairing
- Airplane doors are no longer damaged after repairing the airplane
- Repairing an aircraft will now restore its moving parts to an undamaged state
- Some vehicle components (especially the front bumper of Rumpo and the moving part of Bandito) will no longer glitch after repairing the vehicle
- Weapons and jetpack now cast correct shadows
- The crosshair will no longer spoil the weapon icon when flying on a jetpack
- Free repaints will no longer be provided when playing a new game
- Fixed a randomizer error that caused peds not to spawn in some places
- Fixed a randomizer error that caused prostitutes to become silent during classes
- Text windows can now be shown along with the text about the completed mission
- Fixed a tiny memory leak only in 1.01 that occurred every time the player switched radio stations
- The Steam version now has the correct aspect ratios
- IMG size checks have been removed from the Steam version of
- The Steam version of the game will no longer reject saves from versions 1.0/1.01 (still, a compatible SCM is required for the save to work)

Installation: Place SilentPatchSA.asi and .ini in the game folder. To work you need ASI Loader.
