MAZ-226 is a semi-low-floor suburban bus of the Minsk Automobile Plant, created on the basis of MAZ-206.
The design of the bus as a whole repeats the MAZ-206 - a low floor in the front, immediately behind the second door the floor level rises. However, the number of seats has been increased to 31 (total passenger capacity is 59 people), there is no storage area, and a small luggage compartment is built into the port side.
The bus was first presented to the public on August 23, 2007. Operated in several cities of Belarus and Russia.

МАЗ-226 — полунизкопольный пригородный автобус Минского автомобильного завода, созданный на базе МАЗ-206.
Конструкция автобуса в целом повторяет МАЗ-206 — низкий пол в передней части, сразу за второй дверью уровень пола повышается. Однако количество сидячих мест увеличено до 31 (полная пассажировместимость 59 человек), накопительная площадка отсутствует, по левому борту встроен небольшой багажный отсек.
Автобус был впервые представлен публике 23 августа 2007 года. Эксплуатируется в нескольких городах Белоруссии и России.
