GTA Invasion V2.0
New version of an old mod. Many bugs have been corrected, missions have been edited and several innovations have been added to make the game more interesting. See below for more details on the changes.
The mod includes 18 cleo missions and several additional scripts. In addition, the mod includes cut scenes that can be seen in some missions.
Plot:
You don't need to play as Carl Johnson (although the skin remains his). Almost all the characters, except for Mike Toreno, have nothing to do with the characters from GTA. The main character is a certain soldier named Jim. He found himself at the center of events related to a mysterious experiment, as a result of which monsters and invaders from another world entered the state of San Andreas. Jim has already carried out tasks for Mike Toreno several times, and this time Toreno forces him to carry out various assignments and fight the invaders. In some missions you will need to play as other characters.
- You can start completing missions from Invasion if you have completed all the story missions of the original GTA San Andreas. In this case, a CJ icon will appear on the radar, which points to a red marker near the entrance to the military base in San Fierro. By standing on it, you activate the mod.
- There is no need to start a new game, since this is CLEO. However, when completing missions from this mod, you will be able to save the game between them.
- After watching the prologue, a gloomy atmosphere will be established in San Andreas; there will be almost no pedestrians or cars on the streets. Only occasionally will you encounter military personnel, aliens, or people running away from monsters.
- You can see monsters in many villages, in the swamp between Los Santos and Angel Pine, near the ammunition in the desert, in some places in San Fierro and near Carl's house in the north of Las Venturas. Some monsters do not appear immediately after the first mission.
- If you are on the territory of this city, a helicopter with aliens armed with rocket launchers will fly after you.
- Additional vehicles will appear at a military base in the desert. Soldiers will also appear at the base, although they will appear there only until the 13th mission. You can enter the bunker - now the gate will open in front of you.
- Zone 69 will be disabled, the cops will also not pay attention to you (they will not be on the streets at all).
- After completing the last mission, all of the above will no longer apply.
In the new version:
- All errors that were found have been corrected. Missions have also been qualitatively improved.
- Errors in the text have been corrected.
- Added a script that regulates the atmosphere and traffic outside of missions.
- After dying in most missions, the player will appear in the place where, according to the plot, his shelter is currently located (military base, abandoned runway, etc.). Usually the mission marker is also located there.
- Now the streets will not be as empty as in the previous version. You may encounter a group of soldiers or aliens, as well as monsters chasing pedestrians. If aliens or monsters notice the player, they will attack him.
- In addition, soldiers and aliens will travel around the state in cars, while the aliens have more vehicles than before. And now they will not suddenly appear next to the player. Usually there are only two people in the car, but if it's a Patriot, there can be four.
- In the previous version, soldiers, aliens and some monsters could not appear at the same time. In the new version, they may well meet each other and start attacking.
- Each type of monster has unique characteristics. This is the animation of strikes, gait, running speed. Moreover, unlike the previous version, they practically do not block and hit more often, which is why they have become more dangerous.
- Added a script that makes traffic lights blink yellow. It does not take effect immediately, but only after completing several missions.
- In some missions, if an ally is killed, the camera will show this so that the reason for failure is clear.
- Skids have been added to enemy helicopters. Also, the red helicopter that the characters used to shoot at other helicopters in the penultimate mission now has skids. Those. Now the soldiers will stand on them, and not hang in the air.
- Enemies and allies have become smarter. The former will not shoot only at the player, and the latter will not wait for your command to shoot at enemies. But keep in mind that this makes completing some missions more difficult. Now allies are more likely to die, so the player needs to keep an eye on them and help if necessary.
- Along with pedestrians, hot dog sellers have been removed from the streets. The ability to go on dates is also disabled. I warn you right away that after completing the mod this feature will not return, so it is better not to continue the game after that.
Before installation:
It is advisable to install the mod on the original GTA San Andreas game.
Since there may be conflicts with other scripts, it is best not to use them when you have Invasion installed. Tip: Before installation, change the name of the CLEO folder to something else, for example CLEO2. Then all the scripts in this folder will not work in the game and do not need to be deleted. After uninstalling Invasion, rename the folder back to CLEO.
Before installation, we recommend copying and saving the cuts.img file from the anim folder. It will be necessary if you go through the original plot of GTA San Andreas.
Installation:
All folders that are in the GTA San Andreas folder from this archive can simply be copied to the game folder.
Notes:
This archive contains text localized for the SanLTD localization language.
If you play with the video settings set to a large screen resolution, this may distort the text.
