Japanese assault rifle HOWA Type 64 and assault rifle HOWA Type 89, converted from AVA.

-Developed in the 60s and 80s. Accordingly, Type 64 replaced the M1 in service with the SSJ. After the adoption of the Type 89, the Type 64 continues to be operated by the rear units of the SSJ and the coast guard, due to poor funding. Both samples were never supplied for export or to the private sector.

-Разработаны в 60х и 80х годах. Соответственно, Type 64 заменил М1 на вооружении ССЯ. После принятия на вооружение Type 89, Type 64 продолжает эксплуатироваться тыловыми частями ССЯ и береговой охраной, в виду скудного финансирования. Оба образца никогда не поставлялись на экспорт или в частный сектор.
