Lee wakes up in the middle of the night and notices that he is already a grandfather and decides to kill the old man before it's too late. He learns from Henry that the old man on the skyscraper is experiencing a ray of immortality and if you do not hurry, it will be quite late. Lee wouldn't have been able to do all this if it wasn't for the elixir he stole from the lab (chapter 2).
