VAZ-2108 / Lada-Sputnik / Lada-Samara - a three-door front-wheel drive hatchback of the Volga Automobile Plant.
Produced from December 1984 to October 2003. Its successor is being produced - VAZ-2113,
which outwardly differs from 2108 in a modified shape of the front end (wings, hood, optics), other bumpers,
the presence of plastic door sills and a spoiler on the rear door. Previously fitted with in-line
4-cylinder 8-valve carbureted gasoline engines of 1100, 1300 and 1500 cc.
Since 1994, four-cylinder petrol engines with
distributed fuel injection, but models with a carburetor engine continued to be produced
up until 2003.
