LiAZ 677M KhBI Technical assistance

City high-floor bus produced by the Likinsky Bus Plant. Produced from 1978 to 1994 (assembled at third-party bus assembly plants from vehicle kits from the early 90s to 2000). The LiAZ-677M differed from the 677 mainly in the interior trim and in the large number of seats (27). In operation since 1978 until now. Since the early 2000s, it has been gradually decommissioned.

During the overhaul in some parks, the doors of the bus were replaced with doors from LiAZ 5256, by shortening them. This did not give the bus a new index, but the bus with such doors was nicknamed LiAZ 677M KhBI. After decommissioning, the liveliest buses were not cut down, but turned into technical assistance, i.e. essentially like a truck, with a minimum of passenger compartment and a maximum of cargo space. Glass was usually covered with iron or simply painted over.
