WCTR (West Coast Talk Radio) is a radio station in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas that broadcasts satirical talk shows covering politics, sports, culture, and relationships. The station parodies American media and features a variety of hosts ranging from politicians to crazy gardeners.
Main programs:
- WCTR News — statewide news, hosted by Leanne Forge and Richard Burns. The program often covers events that occur during the game's storyline.
- The Tight End Zone is a sports talk show hosted by Derrick Thackery.
- The Wild Traveler is a travel show hosted by James Pediston, an FBI figurehead. The program is slowly losing listeners due to irrelevant content.
- Entertaining America is a show about entertainment. After an on-air incident involving Jack Hauitzer, Lazlo Jones becomes the new host.
- Gardening With Maurice — a program about gardening with the openly eccentric host Maurice.
- I Say/You Say — political debate between the liberal Peyton and the capitalist Mary Phillips. Often features black humor and social satire.
- Lonely Hearts — relationship advice, hosted by Christy McIntyre, with regular contributor Fernando Martinez returning after the events of Vice City.
- Area 53 — program about conspiracy theories and UFOs, hosted by Marvin Trill. A parody of radio shows like Coast to Coast AM.
Features:Plot events directly affect the content of programs: as the story progresses, the player will hear new newscasts and shows reflecting the events that have occurred. Familiar characters such as OG Loc, Madd Dogg and Big Smoke may appear as guests or be mentioned in the broadcasts.
