Basically, the Rune Kalinkov Ambulance is a version of the Latvian minibus, adapted and improved for the Soviet Union's medical service.

Manufactured in the 1970s and early 1980s, this vehicle provided free and efficient hospital transportation during the Soviet Union.

This model is a reference to an existing RAF 2203 Latvija ambulance.
