Why is the mipmap version better? Firstly, such textures look less grainy at a distance. Secondly, their use has a positive effect on the performance of the game.
Additions: The author of this mod is Cheesy. It was he who manually converted all the textures of the original modification. In addition, I also took the liberty of making small additions by also adding mipmap levels to them: 1) Updated building of the fire station in San Fierro - the joints between the textures have become less visible. 2) Updated texture of the old garage in Doherty (San Fierro) - in the original modification there was an unrealistically small brick, now it began to look more believable.
If the additions were not to your liking, the game files that were replaced: firehouse_sfse.txd, oldgarage_sfse.txd, eastlstr_lae2.txd.
Installation: Method number 1: replace all files in gta3.img with modification files. Method number 2: (if Modloader is available) create a folder in the "modloader" folder (for example, "RoSA MipMap"), copy the modification files into it.
