The P99DAO model is similar to the previously released P990 Double Action Only variant. The internal striker is at rest without pre-cocking. The trigger travel is about 14 mm (0.55 in), and the trigger pull is about 38 N (8.5 lbf). The trigger mechanism has a constant length and force from the first to the last shot, and the striker returns to the uncocked position after each shot.

Модель P99DAO аналогична ранее выпускавшемуся варианту P990 Double Action Only. Внутренний ударник находится в состоянии покоя без предварительного взвода. Ход спускового крючка составляет около 14 мм (0,55 дюйма), а усилие спуска — около 38 Н (8,5 фунт-сила). Ударно-спусковой механизм имеет постоянную длину и силу с первого до последнего выстрела, а ударник после каждого выстрела возвращается в положение без взвода.
