LR-300
The LR-300 series rifles were developed around 2000 by designer Allan Zitta, who worked for a small American company, Z-M Weapons. These rifles became a further development of the concept of M16 / AR-15 rifles popular in the USA, outwardly differing from them primarily in the presence of a side-folding stock (on conventional rifles of the M16 / AR-15 series, only a partially extendable telescopic stock can be installed). In fact, all the changes affected only the upper half of the receiver with a barrel, a gas outlet assembly and a bolt group, the lower part of the receiver (with a trigger mechanism, a magazine receiver and a pistol grip) are standard for this type of weapon. Rifles of the LR-300 series were produced both in a "combat" version with the possibility of automatic fire and relatively short barrels, and in civilian self-loading versions.
