Russian voiceover for the TV in GTA IV.
It has been over a year since the PC version of GTA IV was released, and finally, it has happened!
I based the TV voiceover on "VIDEOMANIA" and created a sound track for two channels (weazel and CNT) that play on the in-game TV. However, there is one "BUT"..., "VIDEOMANIA" did not fully translate all the shows and commercials, so the Russian voiceover is not everywhere...
Here’s where:
- The MEN's ROOM with BAS and Jeremy (from 2min 13sec to the end);
- REPUBLICAN SPACE RANGERS (fully);
- I'm Rich (fully);
- A HISTORY of LIBERTY CITY part 1 (fully), but part 2 is not translated;
- THE Serrated Edge (a small piece is translated);
- And other funny commercials, but not all.
Everything else you see on the TV screen in GTA IV will be in English.
Installation:
- Unpack the downloaded archive
- Install RAD Tools (included in the archive)
- Launch RAD Video Tools (start->all programs->Bink and Smacker->RAD Video Tools
Installing the Weazel channel:
- Find the GTA IV folder in the window -> movies and left-click on the file weazel.bik
- Then click on "Mix in sound" on the bottom panel. In the top line "Sound file to mix" click "Browse..." and find the file weazel.wma that we unpacked -> Open
- In the second line "Output file info:" rewrite the name to weazel.bik
- Check the box "Automatic overwrite?"
- On the right panel click "Mix"
- THAT'S IT, the sound track is being replaced! When finished, click Done.
Installing the CNT channel:
- Find the GTA IV folder in the window -> movies and left-click on the file CNT.bik
- Then click on "Mix in sound" on the bottom panel. In the top line "Sound file to mix" click "Browse..." and find the file CNT.wma that we unpacked -> Open
- In the second line "Output file info:" rewrite the name to CNT.bik
- Check the box "Automatic overwrite?"
- On the right panel click "Mix"
- THAT'S IT, the sound track is being replaced! When finished, click Done.
Everything else you see on the TV screen in GTA 4 will be in English.
Now you can watch TV in Russian!
For those who do not have these channels in the movies folder but want to watch TV in Russian, I recommend buying a license and playing.
As a last resort, buy a pirated full version (2 dual-layer DVDs) or download the full 14Gb version from the internet.
Русская озвучка телевизора в GTA IV.
Прошёл уже год и более после выхода PC версии GTA IV и вот наконец-то свершилось!
Я взял за основу озвучку телевизора от "ВИДЕОМАНИИ" и склепал звуковую дорожку двух каналов (weazel и CNT), которые играют в игровом телевизоре. Но есть одно "НО"..., "ВИДЕОМАНИЯ" не перевела полностью все телепередачи и рекламы, так,что русская озвучка не везде...
А вот где:
- The MEN's ROOM with BAS and Jeremy (со 2мин 13сек и до конца);
- REPUBLICAN SPACE RANGERS (полностью);
- I'm Rich (полностью);
- A HISTORY of LIBERTY CITY часть 1 (полностью), но часть 2 не переведена;
- THE Serrated Edge (переведён маленький кусок);
- И остальные смешные рекламы, но не все.
Всё остальное, что вы увидите на экране телевизора в GTA IV будет на английском.
Установка:
- Распаковать скачанный архив
- Установить RAD Tools (есть в архиве)
- Запустить RAD Video Tools (пуск->все программы->Bink and Smacker->RAD Video Tools
Установка телеканала Weazel:

- Найти в окне папку с GTA IV -> movies и нажать левой кнопкой мыши по файлу CNT.bik
- Затем нажать на нижней панели "Mix in sound". На верхней строчке "Sound file to mix" нажать "Browse..." и найти файл CNT.wma, который мы распаковали -> Открыть
- На второй строчке "Output file info:" переписать название на CNT.bik
- Отметить галочкой "Automatic overwrite?"
- На правой панели нажать "Mix"
- ВСЁ, идет замена звуковой дорожки! По окончанию нажать Done.
Всё остальное, что вы увидите на экране телевизора в GTA 4 будет на английском.
Теперь можно смотреть телевизор на русском!
У тех, у кого нет в папке movies этих каналов, а хочется посмотреть телевизор на русском, то советую купить лицензию и играть.
В крайнем случае купить пиратскую полную версию (2 двуслойных DVD) или качнуть из интернета полную 14Gb версию.
