An updated GTA 4 map designed to replace the standard black and white, sparsely detailed version. The new style offers a pleasant color palette, clear place names and improved resolution for more comfortable navigation in both menus and on the mini-map.
Key features:
- Full-color map: balanced tones — dark for urban objects, muted for nature;
- Support for the full version of GTA 4;
- Resolution higher than the original;
- Built-in icons: police stations, hospitals, fire stations;
- Toponyms: streets, highways, bridges, subway stations, parks, beaches, landmarks and hydronyms;
- Explicitly identified features: highways, roadblocks, railroad tracks, abandoned areas.
Files and zooming:
- Small scale (map in menu): frontend_360.wtd — 2048×2048;
- Full scale (map in menu): fradar.wtd — 1024×1024;
- Minimap (radar): radar.wtd — 1024×1024;
- Toponyms are displayed only on the full map (fradar.wtd).
Installation:
- Select the desired version of FRONTEND (with or without water);
- Make backup copies of the original files;
- Replace the corresponding files in pc/textures/frontend_360.wtd, pc/models/cdimages/radar.img, and so on;
- For FusionFix users : move the contents of the pc and common folders to the update folder .
Note:
The mod completely replaces visual maps without affecting gameplay. Suitable for players who appreciate convenience, accuracy and visual readability of the interface.
