This mod increases the resolution and detail of body textures for the so-called “beaters” (or “bangers”, rusty cars, wrecks, whatever) in GTA IV.
Now these textures are increased 4 times.
There are 3 "beaters" in the game: "Emperor Rusty", "Saber Rusty" and "Vigero Rusty".
Since beaters are pretty much the only cars in the game with noticeable body textures, I don't think these cars will stand out much from other cars without increased textures. Therefore, replacing some textures won't hurt :D
Installation:
- Launch OpenIV;
- Open pcmodelscdimagesvehicles.img;
- Turn on editing mode;
- Find emperor2.wtd, sabre2.wtd and vigero2.wtd;
- Open each wtd file, look for textures named [car name]sign_1 and [car name] sign_2, such as emperor2_sign_1.dds or vigero2_sign_2.dds depending on which car you're looking at;
- Once you find one, click Replace;

HQ текстуры для ржавых машин
Этот мод увеличивает разрешение и детализацию текстур кузова для так называемых «битеров» (или «бангеров», ржавых машин, развалюх, как угодно) в GTA IV.
Теперь эти текстуры увеличены в 4 раза.
В игре есть 3 «битера»: «Император Ржавый», «Сабля Ржавая» и «Вигеро Ржавый».
Поскольку «битеры» — это практически единственные машины в игре с заметными текстурами кузова, я не думаю, что эти машины будут сильно выделяться среди других автомобилей без увеличенных текстур. Поэтому замена некоторых текстур не помешает :D
Установка:
- Запустите OpenIV;
- Откройте \pc\models\cdimages\vehicles.img;
- Включите режим редактирования;
- Найдите emperor2.wtd, sabre2.wtd и vigero2.wtd;
- Откройте каждый файл wtd, найдите текстуры с именами [название автомобиля]sign_1 и [название автомобиля] sign_2, например emperor2_sign_1.dds или vigero2_sign_2.dds в зависимости от того, текстуры какого автомобиля вы просматриваете;
- Как только вы найдете одну, нажмите Заменить;
- Затем просто найдите текстуру .dds с точно таким же названием в файлах модов и замените старую текстуру модифицированной.
Внимание: Всегда делайте резервные копии!
