Demo GTA1 (8-bit, MS-DOS)
There are 4 demo versions for MS-DOS: 8-bit, 24-bit, 3Dfx, and 3Dfx Special.
This demo version is 8-bit for MS-DOS.
Overall, there are few differences from the full version. Except for having only one city (Liberty City) and a timer at the top of the screen while you play. It ticks, and it ticks for a reason. When you start a level, the countdown begins and the timer, after 6 minutes, the gameplay ends. But don't worry, the 6 minutes don't expire forever; you can also restart the game. When you restart the game, the timer will again count down 6 minutes.
The game can be launched on the DOSbox+Windows3.11build; it won't run on a regular DOSbox. An interesting fact: the 24-bit version can be launched on a regular DOSbox, but in the "DOSbox+Windows3.11" build, the 24-bit version cannot be launched.
Unzip the archive, move the game folder to the directory of the "DOSbox+Win3.11" build, preferably at {build directory}/C_Disk/{any location}. Launch the build, and in Windows3.11, open the game folder through the file manager and start the game by clicking on "Demo8.exe". You can drag "Demo8.exe" onto the "GAMES" window opened in the program manager (shown in one of the screenshots above).

В целом, отличий от полной версии немного. Ну, разве что наличие только одного города (Liberty City) и наличие таймера вверху экрана, когда вы играете. Он тикает, и тикает неспроста. Когда вы производите старт на уровне, обратный отсчет начинает и таймер, по окончанию 6 минут игровой процесс завершается. Но не расстраивайтесь, 6 минут истекают не навсегда, вы также можете повторно начать игру. Когда вы будете заново начинать игру, то таймер снова будет отсчитывать 6 минут.
Запустить игру можно на сборке DOSbox+Windows3.11, на обычном DOSbox запустить не получится. Интересный факт: версию 24-bit можно запустить в обычном DOSbox, а в сборке \"DOSbox+Windows3.11\" запустить версию 24-bit как раз таки нельзя.
Распакуйте архив, папку с игрой перенесите в директорию сборки \"DOSbox+Win3.11\", желательно по адресу {директория сборки}/C_Disk/{любое место}. Запустите сборку, и в Windows3.11 через диспетчер файлов откройте папку с игрой и запустите игру, нажав на \"Demo8.exe\". Вы можете перетащить \"Demo8.exe\" на окно \"ИГРЫ\", открытое в окне диспетчера программ (показано на одном из скриншотов выше).
