Water Tool is a 3Ds Max script that allows you to edit the WATERPRO.DAT file. This file is located in the DATA folder of GTA 3 or GTA Vice City. The file contains information about the water surface of the GTA game world.
The water surface is a large square that is divided into equal sectors.
There are two types of water surface in the game:
— Main (128x128 sectors);
— LOD or visible (64x64 sectors).
You can load the game map into 3ds max using third-party scripts or
Map objects manually and edit the water surface taking into account the game
landscape. This makes the script incredibly easy to use.
