Mike York, who worked as an animator at Rockstar Games and had a hand in such games as Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, spoke about the state of readiness of GTA 6. He is confident that the game is already fully playable.

He shared these guesses in an interview with the Kiwi Talkz channel, which has already been removed at his request. The developer discussed the state of the game and rumors about its possible transfer — he thinks that GTA 6 is almost ready:

They're probably still making a few new things here and there or adding to things here and there, of course, but I would assume that the game's probably playable now, and a bunch of people are testing the whole thing all the way through. There's probably a ton of bugs..., and they're trying to find as many bugs as they can before they release because a game like GTA is unlike any other game.

Earlier, Mike York explained that the open world of GTA 6 will be strikingly different from games like The Witcher 3 in its unpredictability, which will only contribute to the appearance of bugs and crashes. He also said that the game will most likely run at 30 FPS upon release.
