Mike York, a former animator at Rockstar Games, recently appeared on the Kiwi Talkz podcast. The developer has worked on several games in the series, including Grand Theft Auto 5, and spoke about the complexities of the open world of GTA 6.

According to him, the game will be very different from other projects in its unpredictability. Since the open world in GTA 6 simulates a real city, there are things that can happen in the open world that even the developers didn't plan for:

It's very different from the open world in The Witcher 3... There are a lot of things that can happen that you don't really think about until some random kid tries it, you know? You don't really think about them. And when I was working on GTA 5, we played that game every day for 8-10 hours.

It's noteworthy that the interview has already been removed from public access at the request of Mike York himself. Kiwi Talkz channel author Reece Reilly explained this by saying that Rockstar "are super secretive".

Earlier, Mike York let it slip that GTA 6 would run below 60 FPS, but that the game could be optimized over time. Rockstar probably had a complaint about his remark.
