Take-Two Interactive is looking to offload its Private Division label, which publishes games from independent studios, IGN has learned. Sources tell IGN that Take-Two has already laid off the majority of the Private Division staff and is currently exploring options to either sell or wind down the label. The remaining team is reportedly continuing to work with studios it has existing deals with, including Moon Studios (No Rest for the Wicked), Weta Workshop (Tales of the Shire), and Game Freak. However, it has had to let go of unannounced projects with Bloober Team (the Silent Hill 2 remake) and One More Level (Ghostrunner). According to IGN's sources, morale among Private Division staff was low due to what they perceived as unrealistic financial expectations and rushed game releases from Take-Two. Private Division has published titles including The Outer Worlds, Disintegration, OlliOlli World, Rollerdrome, After Us, Kerbal Space Program 2, and the upcoming No Rest for the Wicked.
