Ray tracing may appear in Grand Theft Auto 6 — such conclusions arise when studying one of the Rockstar Games vacancies on LinkedIn.
For the position of Senior Graphics Programmer, the company is looking for someone who is familiar with the operation of DXR or NVR interfaces responsible for ray tracing in games. Most likely, Rockstar decided to implement this technology, since the game is announced for the new generation consoles — PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to information from insiders, Sony is asking developers to prepare games for the PlayStation 5 Pro by adding ray tracing.
