One of the former GTA 5 developers, Lazlow Jones, told a creepy incident with a real call from members of the Epsilon cult. This happened back when the fifth part was being created. This happened back when the fifth part was in development. The Epsilon cult has long existed in the Grand Theft Auto universe and is a parody of various popular sects in the United States. Rockstar Games even created an entire website for the fictional religion, using it during the PR campaign for GTA San Andreas. Some fans were so inspired by this idea that they decided to prank the creators of the action game. As Lazlow Jones said, during the development of the fifth part, he received a strange call. The woman on the other end of the line introduced herself as a representative of the Epsilon followers. She said that their group had studied all the information about the religion and were now “dying to learn as much as possible.”
According to the developer, the call simultaneously excited him and “scared him to death.” However, he was so inspired by the funny incident that he doubled his efforts to develop content related to Epsilon. Earlier, players arranged a battle between Deadpool and Wolverine in GTA 5 in honor of the film of the same name.
