GTA 5 became the most popular game on Twitch in August

The analytics service Streams Charts has reported that GTA 5 became the most-watched game on Twitch in August 2023. Rockstar's project surpassed hits like League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite, Minecraft, Dota 2, Baldur's Gate 3, as well as Valorant, which had a major tournament.
Users on Twitch collectively spent 102.4 million hours watching Grand Theft Auto 5 streams. It's worth noting that GTA 5 also topped the charts in July. Back then, viewers spent 139 million hours watching the game.

The most-watched games on Twitch in August were:

1. GTA 5 — 102,4 million hours;
2. Valorant — 100,9 million hours;
3. League of Legends — 93,1 million hours;
4. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive — 64 million hours;
5. Baldur's Gate 3 — 45,5 million hours;
6. Fortnite — 43,6 million hours;
7. Minecraft — 43 million hours;
8. Escape from Tarkov — 40,2 million hours;
9. Dota 2 — 36,5 million hours.
