This mod for Red Dead Redemption 1 makes changes to the registry so that the game takes priority over any other processes for the CPU, disk, network, or page file. This avoids delays and freezes caused by background processes. Fine-tuning standard CPU process options can bypass bottlenecks on most processors.
Changes made to the registry to launch the game:
CPU Priority Class - High: The CPU priority function sets a high priority for the use of processes or groups of CPU processes.
IO Priority - High: The I/O priority feature sets high priority for processes or groups of I/O processes for disk/network throughput.
Page Priority - Normal: The page priority function sets the normal priority for processes or groups of processes of the RAM paging file.
