Companion Dog

A cowboy can't be a true cowboy without a horse. But if you've always wanted to play Red Dead Redemption 2 with a personal dog, then this mod is for you.

How to use:

• Find a dog you like and pet it.
• While petting, you'll notice a new button «Tame». Press it, and the dog will join you.

How the mod works:

• The dog will follow you; you can command it to sit and wait. If you enter a building, the dog will wait for you outside.
• You can whistle to call the dog to you. Note that there is a certain whistle range, and if the dog is too far away, it will not respond to your calls.
• If the dog gets lost, you can return it by interacting with your main horse and activating the appropriate prompt.
• The dog can help you in melee fights and attack opponents.
• You can order the dog to attack other animals or NPCs.
• The dog will help you hunt in various ways: after you track an animal, the dog will run towards it and start barking, helping you find it (unless it has been ordered to stay).
• When tracking an animal, the dog will use its senses and help you find it quickly.
• The dog will get excited by predators nearby and attack them if they get too close.
• The mod adds a new special health bar for the dog. The lower the level of the bar, the slower the dog's health regenerates.
• To fully restore the dog's health bar and health, it needs to be fed prey.
• The mod contains a complete guide and hints.
• You can give your dog a name and change it at any time in the game.
• You can abandon the dog at any time.
• Some functions can be disabled through the settings file RDR2/DogCompanion/DogCompanion.ini.

Requires: Lenny's Mod Loader RDR and ScriptHook by Alexander Blade.

Installation:
Place DogCompanion.asi and the DogCompanion folder in the root game folder, where the exe file is located.
