Description
GTA: Liberty City Beta 4.0 is a complete conversion of GTA III for GTA: Vice City. Since GTA: Vice City was released, work has begun to bring the world of GTA III into the new game engine. You have the opportunity to play with features from GTA VC (for example: motorcycles, helicopters, the ability to kill vehicle occupants and shoot out tires). While there are many similarities between the two game engines, there are quite complex differences that people are still working on the project.

Start
The mod requires the original versions of GTA: Vice City and GTA III. The installer will remove and replace files, so be sure to back up your original copy of the game (if you need to). After running the installer, you need to copy the audio files from GTA III to the installation audio folder. You must run gta-lc.exe to run the mod (not gta3.exe).

What's new in beta 4.0
Liberty City, bug fixes and gameplay improvements. Features that have been completely redesigned include:

- All missions,
- All taps,
- Drawbridge,
- Vehicle sound effects,
- Operation codes that were used in GTA III,
- Almost all ped sound effects,
- Special scenarios sound effects for special characters,
- Motion blur effects,
- Weather shade,
- Almost all cheats,
- The whole cycle of scripts,
- Car alarms,
- Police scanner audio for zones and vehicles.

What will happen in the future
This is not the latest version of the mod. Major features that are missing from the release or need further work in the future:

- Head animation in cutscenes,
- Behavior of the crusher machine,
- Train behavior,
- Statistics,
- Textures.
