Thomas Fischer - a former legendary athlete, now a homebody suffering from alcoholism - dreams of acting in films according to his own script. However, his friend, film director Stevie, understands that the lack of funding affects the course of the case.
The father of Carol, the protagonist's girlfriend, wants to know more about the gem, which, presumably, she inherited from her grandmother.
Soon, Carol and her father are terrorized by a strange masked man who demands to know where the gem is hidden.
