The main character, Bill, is preparing to become an airplane pilot. At flight school, his friend Chris became his pilot instructor.
During the flight there is a crash, but Bill and Chris miraculously manage to survive. They try to find help and end up in a Resistance camp. From members of the Resistance, Bill and Chris learn that the year is already 2070. Humanity is almost exterminated after a brutal war, and the country is ruled by a certain “Military Empire”...
