Steyr AUG (Armee Universal Gewehr - army universal rifle) is a small arms complex released in 1977 by the Austrian company Steyr-Daimler-Puch. Adopted by countries such as Austria, New Zealand, Luxembourg and Ireland. In Australia, the rifle is produced under license under the brand name F88. It has interchangeable barrels of different lengths: the main 508 mm, as well as shortened barrels of 350 mm and 407 mm and a heavy barrel of 621 mm.
This rifle uses the Bullpup layout, in which the magazine and bolt assembly are located behind the fire control handle and trigger. There are two fire modes: single shot fire and automatic fire. It is also possible to upgrade for firing single and with a cut-off of 3 shots.
