If your car has few lives left, it will stall. To fix the car, you can dial the code, or you can get out of the car, go to the hood and press E (eng.) After that, CJ will tinker in the hood of the car and successfully fix it. In this version, you can only repair cars with an engine in front. You cannot repair buses, large vehicles, trucks, etc. In future versions I'm going to add the ability to repair them too.
