In 1996, the Gorky Automobile Plant began to produce its own model of the GAZ-32213 minibus. Just like the GAZ-3302 lorry trucks, the GAZ-32213 minibus immediately gained immense popularity. Minibuses began to roll off the GAZ assembly line in two versions in terms of cabin height, in three variants in terms of passenger capacity, and in three variants in terms of installed gasoline engines. For passengers, the sliding door has become a serious inconvenience, which requires a lot of effort when opening and slams too loudly when closing. To avoid this, on most cars the sliding door is converted into a swing door, and enterprises that assemble fixed-route taxis on the Gazelle chassis initially abandoned the sliding door, replacing it with a narrower swing door.
