SA Map Tools for Blender is a handy addon for Blender for working with GTA game objects. It allows you to quickly assign parameters to objects, import and export data in IPL and IDE formats, and check models for errors. Suitable for modding and quick preparation of game scenes.

1. opening the panel

  • Make sure the addon is installed and enabled: Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Xtreme Byte;
  • In the 3D View window, press the N key and go to the Xtreme Tools tab.

2. Customizing Objects

  • Enter the value of the initial ID;
  • Click "Apply Settings" — a unique ID will be assigned to each selected object.

3. Model Parameters

  • Specify:
    • TXD Name;
    • Interior (default 0);
    • Display Distance;
    • Flag;
    • Start LOD.
  • Click "Apply All" to set the parameters;
  • "Reset All" — reset the parameters to default.

4. Import and exportImport IPL:

  • Specify the path to the IPL and the folder with the DFF files;
  • Click Import IPL.

Export IPL:

  • Specify the save path;
  • If necessary, enable LOD autodetection;
  • Highlight objects and click "Export IPL".

Export IDE:

  • Specify path;
  • Select the objects;
  • Click "Export IDE".

5. Error Check

  • Click "Check Errors" to detect:

    • Long names;
    • Missing LODs;
    • Invalid parameters.

Errors are displayed in the Blender console

Tips:

  • Works only with selected objects;
  • Check if the paths are correct;
  • If settings are not applied — check object selection.
