Something about each radio station:
Bounce FM:
Area 53 host on WCTR, Marvin Trill, calls Bounce FM, mistakenly believing that "The Party Ship" (the radio station's second name) is a real flying saucer that he wants to get on.
This is the favorite radio station of the Ballas, Da Nang Boys, Michelle Cannes, as well as Sweet and Big Smoke - when the player gets into their cars, this radio station plays there.
Many tracks from the radio station were sampled by rappers (for example, Ohio Players — Funky Form was sampled by Ice Cube — You Know How We Do It, which can be heard in Grand Theft Auto V on the West Coast Classics radio station).
Kool & The Gang — Hollywood Swinging is one of the three songs played during the dance mini-game in nightclubs; it (the song) also plays during the dance in the Life's A Bitch mission.
Johnny Harris — Odyssey and Ronnie Hudson & The Street People — West Coast Poplock play during lowrider competitions.
The Isley Brothers — Between The Sheets plays inside strip clubs.
Sometimes the DJ The Funktipus (voiced by George Clinton) says lines from various Parliament-Funkadelic songs between tracks (which is not surprising; as George Clinton is a member of both groups).
George Clinton — Loopzilla plays in the trailer for the mobile (Android) version of the game.
CSR 103.9:
In the very first version of the game on PS2 (1.0), the radio station had a frequency of 103.2; in all subsequent versions of the game, the radio station's frequency was changed to 103.9.
Sometimes CJ hums the chorus from the track En Vogue — My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It).
In Sweet's car (Greenwood), this radio station sometimes plays.
En Vogue — My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It) and Samuelle — So You Like What You See play in strip clubs.
The radio station plays in the ProLaps store, the barber shop on Seville Beach, and the gym in Las Venturas.
In the mobile (Android) version and all subsequent versions of the game since 2013, CSR 103.9, K-Rose, and SF-UR are the only radio stations that have retained all tracks from the original version of the game.
K-DST:
This is the favorite radio station of Freddie, Mike Toreno, the Italian Mafia, the San Andreas Bikers, the Elvises, and one of the favorite radio stations of the Los Santos Vagos.
The radio station plays in Binco and Zip stores.
K-DST is the standard radio station for all planes except the Andromada and Skimmer, where Radio X and CSR 103.9 play respectively; and in the Hydra, Master Sounds 98.3 will play.
There is an ironic phrase said by DJ Tommy Smith after the song Creedence Clearwater Revival — Green River. He says: «This is a plaid shirt free zone. We’re rock stars, people, not lumberjacks». The fact is that the frontman of Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Fogerty, often wore plaid shirts during concerts, and he can usually be seen in them (plaid shirts) in public photos.
Toto — Hold The Line is the only song about which DJ Tommy Smith makes no comments at the beginning or end.
Sometimes, when idle, CJ may hum the chorus of Rod Stewart’s song — Young Turks until he forgets the rest of the song.
The Who — Eminence Front plays in the trailer for the Xbox version of the game.
In the background of one of DJ Tommy Smith's monologues, you can hear a guitar sound similar in sound to the same sound from the AC/DC song — Rock ‘N’ Roll Singer.
K-Jah West:
The only radio station in the game with two DJs — Marshall Peters and Johnny Lawton.
Favorite radio station of San Fierro Rifa, pizza delivery boys, and Jamaican taxi drivers.
K-Rose:
The song The Statler Brothers — New York City was not listed in the guide booklet for the first version of the game for PS2; however, it (the song) was already listed in subsequent versions.
After the song Conway Twitty & Loretta Lynn — Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man, DJ Mary-Beth Maybelle mentions that she has never been to the Mississippi River.
Starting with the mobile (Android) version, in all subsequent versions of the game, K-Rose, SF-UR, and CSR 103.9 are the only radio stations whose playlists/tracklists have not changed.
Master Sounds 98.3:
Favorite radio station of Woozie Mu, Jizzy B, Eddie Pulaski, Andre; as well as one of the favorite radio stations of the Los Santos Vagos, taxi drivers, Cesar, Ryder, and Big Smoke.
Maceo & The Macks — Cross The Tracks (We Better Go Back), Bobby Byrd — Hot Pants, and James Brown — Funky President play inside the «Caligula» and «Four Dragons» casinos.
The radio station plays in the gym in Los Santos and in Old Reece's barber shop.
When police steal another vehicle from a pedestrian (if the police car/bike is destroyed), they will listen to this radio station.
Charles Wright & The Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band — Express Yourself was not so much re-recorded as sampled by N.W.A. — Express Yourself (this track can be heard on Radio Los Santos).
Although James Brown — Funky President was cut from the mobile (Android) version of the game, this song can still be heard inside casinos.
James Brown — Funky President is one of the three songs that plays in nightclubs during the mini-game (when CJ dances).
The Chakachas — Jungle Fever plays in the first trailer for the game.
Gloria Jones — Tainted Love is the only song about which DJ Johnny Parkinson makes no comments at the beginning or end.
Sometimes DJ Johnny Parkinson mentions the track James Brown — Papa’s Got A Brand New Bag (considered the first song in the «funk» genre); the song itself is absent from the game.
Notably, this radio station broadcasts on the same frequency as Emotion from Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories (i.e., the broadcast frequency of radio stations in all three games is 98.3).
Playback FM:
Despite the mention that this radio station plays «Oldschool» and «Golden Age Hip Hop», the time range of the songs covers 1987-1992, i.e., almost the same as Radio Los Santos, whose time range of songs covers 1988-1992.
The radio station DJ, Forth Right MC, is voiced by rapper Chuck D, a member of Public Enemy (whose song — Rebel Without A Pause is present on the radio station).
This radio station is the favorite of the Varrios Los Aztecaz gang.
Sometimes CJ hums the chorus from Big Daddy Kane — Warm It Up, Kane while idle.
Radio Los Santos:
Favorite radio station of the Grove Street Families gang and Ryder.
If CJ ignores Denise Robinson, she will call the radio station to comment on it.
2Pac Feat. Pogo — I Don’t Give A Fuck plays in the third trailer for Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.
Radio Los Santos plays in regular barber shops (i.e., all except Reece's Hair & Facial Studio and Macisla’s in East Los Santos).
Dr. Dre Feat. Snoop Dogg — Nuthin' But A 'G' Thang is one of the three songs that play during the dance mini-games in nightclubs.
Ice Cube — It Was A Good Day and Compton's Most Wanted — Hood Took Me Under play inside Jizzy's Pleasure Domes and in the strip rooms in Big Smoke's crack palace.
The radio station features songs from Kid Frost and MC Eiht (a member of the group Compton's Most Wanted), who voiced T-Bone Mendez and Ryder respectively. This radio station is the default in the Greenwood car. However, in Sweet's personal Greenwood, Bounce FM always plays.
When 2Pac Feat. Pogo — I Don’t Give A Fuck plays, DJ Julio G sometimes mentions that he is afraid to play this song due to the extensive use of profanity, as well as political content in the lyrics, and he will likely be fined for playing it. Despite this, most of the songs that played on the radio station contain profanity. His comment sounds quite ironic, considering the huge amount of cursing or explicit language throughout the game.
Sometimes DJ Julio G makes references to various RockStar Games employees, among whom are:
«Les from the North» — a mention of Leslie Benzies, former president of RockStar North.
«The sound guys Allan, Craig, and Will from Scotland on vacation» — a reference to Allan Walker, Crane Conner, and Will Morton, who worked as sound engineers at RockStar North, which is based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
«Sam and the guys from Liberty City» — a reference to Sam Houser, current president of RockStar Games, whose main offices are located in New York, on which Liberty City is based.
Ice Cube — It Was A Good Day is sampled from The Isley Brothers — Footsteps In The Dark, which appears on Wildstyle Pirate Radio in Grand Theft Auto Vice City.
The beat from Kid Frost — La Raza is sampled from the El Chicano — Viva Tirado track, which can be heard in Grand Theft Auto V on the radio station The LowDown 91.1.
N.W.A. — Alwayz Into Somethin' contains samples from Tom Scott & The L.A. Express — Sneakin' In The Back (this track can be heard in Grand Theft Auto IV on the radio station Fusion FM).
Radio X:
The radio station plays by default in the following vehicles: Andromada plane, Buffalo car, Freeway and PCJ-600 motorcycles.
Radio X plays in Sub Urban stores, bars that have a Ten Green Bottles interior, and tattoo parlors.
Guns N' Roses — Welcome To The Jungle plays in the official game trailer.
Rage Against The Machine — Killing In The Name plays in a cutscene during a failed date. In later versions of the game, due to the song being removed due to license expiration, instead of it (Rage Against The Machine — Killing In The Name), the melody from a successful date plays, which makes the situation funny and even absurd.
L7 — Pretend We're Dead plays at the beach party in the Life's A Beach mission.
Stone Temple Pilots — Plush is the only song about which DJ Sage makes no comments at the beginning or end.
SF-UR:
Favorite radio station of the San Fierro Triads, Da Nang Boys, Millie Perkins, prostitutes, and taxi drivers.
The only radio station not released separately on the game's soundtrack CD.
A Guy Called Gerald — Voodoo Ray and Frankie Knuckles — Your Love play in nightclubs when the player does not start the dance mini-game.
The radio station plays in the Victim clothing store.
Despite claims that there are no commercials on this radio station, commercials can still be heard on it.
This is the only radio station in the game that has no jingles; it is also the only radio station where the beginning and end of all songs are always accompanied by comments from the DJ — Hans Oberlander.
SF-UR, K-Rose, CSR 103.9 are the only radio stations that have retained all tracks from the original version of the game in the reissued version of the game.

Bounce FM:
Ведущий Area 53 на WCTR Марвин Трилл звонит на Bounce FM, ошибочно полагая, что "The Party Ship" (второе название радиостанции) — реально существующая летающая тарелка, на которую он хочет попасть.
Это любимая радиостанция Балласов, Парней Дананга, Мишель Кенс, а так же Свита и Биг Смоука — когда игрок садится в их машины, там играет эта радиостанция.
Многие композиции с радиостанции сэмплировались рэпперами (так, Ohio Players — Funky Form была сэмплирована Ice Cube — You Know How We Do It, которую можно услышать в Grand Theft Auto V на радиостанции West Coast Classics).
Kool & The Gang — Hollywood Swinging одна из трёх песен, играющая во время танцевальной мини-игры в ночных клубах; она (песня) так же играет во время танца в миссии Life's A Bitch.
Johnny Harris — Odyssey и Ronnie Hudson & The Street People — West Coast Poplock играют во время соревнований лоурайдеров.
The Isley Brothers — Between The Sheets играет внутри стрип-клубов.
Иногда ди-джей The Funktipus (озвучен Джорджем Клинтоном) между песнями произносит строки из различных песен группы Parliament-Fukadelic (что неудивительно; ведь Джордж Клинтон является участником обеих групп).

CSR 103.9:
В самой первой версии игры на PS2 (1.0) радиостанция имела частоту 103.2; во всех последующих версиях игры частота радиостанции сменилась на 103.9.
Иногда Си-Джей напевает припев из композиции En Vogue — My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It).
В машине Свита (Greenwood) иногда играет эта радиостанция.

В мобильной (Android) версии и всех последующих версиях игры начиная с 2013 года CSR 103.9, K-Rose и SF-UR — единственные радиостанции, сохранившие все трэки из оригинальной версии игры.
K-DST:
Это любимая радиостанция у Фредди, Майка Торено, итальянской мафии, Байкеров Сан-Андреаса, Элвисов и одна из любимых радиостанций Los Santos Vagos.
Радиостанция играет в магазинах Binco и Zip.
K-DST — стандартная радиостанция для всех самолётов, кроме Andromada и Skimmer, где играют Radio X и CSR 103.9 соответственно; а в Hydra будет играть Master Sounds 98.3.
Есть ироническая фраза, сказанная ди-джеем Томми Смитом после песни Creedence Clearwater Revival — Green River. Он говорит: «Это зона, свободная от клетчатой рубашки. Песня The Statler Brothers — New York City не была указана в брошюре-гиде для первой версии игры для PS2; однако в последующих версиях она (песня) уже была указана.
После песни Conway Twitty & Loretta Lynn — Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man ди-джей Мэри-Бет Мейбелл упоминает, что никогда не была у реки Миссисипи.

Charles Wright & The Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band — Express Yourself была не столько переработана, сколько сэмплирована N.W.A. — Express Yourself (данный трэк можно услышать на Radio Los Santos).

Ди-джей радиостанции, Forth Right MC, озвучен рэпером Чаком Ди, участником Public Enemy (чья песня — Rebel Without A Pause присутствует на радиостанции).
Эта радиостанция — любимая у банды Varrios Los Aztecaz.

Когда играет 2Pac Feat. Pogo — I Don't Give A Fuck, ди-джей Julio G иногда упоминает, что боится ставить эту песню из-за обильного использования ненормативной лексики, а также политического содержания в тексте, и его, скорее всего, оштрафуют за её проигрывание. Несмотря на это, большинство песен, звучавших на радиостанции, содержат ненормативную лексику. Ice Cube Feat. Das EFX — Check Yo Self [The Message Remix] была сэмплирована из песни Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five — The Message, которая появляется на Wildstyle Pirate Radio в Grand Theft Auto Vice City. Иногда ди-джей Julio G отсылается в адрес различных сотрудников RockStar Games, среди которых:

Rage Against The Machine — Killing In The Name играет в кат-сцене при неудачном свидании. В более поздних версиях игры ввиду удаления песни из-за истечения лицензии, вместо неё (Rage Against The Machine — Killing In The Name) играет мелодия при удачном свидании, что делает происходящее забавным и даже нелепым.
L7 — Pretend We're Dead играет на пляжной вечеринке в миссии Life's A Beach.
Stone Temple Pilots — Plush — это единственная песня, к которой ди-джей Sage не даёт комментариев в начале и в конце.
SF-UR:
Любимая радиостанция Триад Сан-Фиерро, Парней Данага, Милли Перкинс, проституток и таксистов.
Единственная радиостанция, не выпущенная отдельно в саундтреке игры на CD.
A Guy Called Gerald — Voodoo Ray и Frankie Knuckles — Your Love играют в ночных клубах, когда игрок не начинает танцевальную мини-игру.
Радиостанция играет в магазине одежды Victim.
Несмотря на утверждения, что рекламы на этой радиостанции нет, рекламу на ней (радиостанции) услышать всё же можно.
Это единственная радиостанция в игре, у которой нет джинглов; а так же единственная радиостанция, где у всех песен начало и конец всегда сопровождаются комментариями ди-джея — Ханса Оберландера.
SF-UR, K-Rose, CSR 103.9 — единственные радиостанции, сохранившие все трэки из оригинальной версии игры в переизданной версии игры.
