Radio and MP3 player for GTA San Andreas

Collab with Artem.1.9.9.6 and KaiQ. Thanks a lot for participation, help, advice and all that.

Changelog below description.

This mod adds an MP3 player in the form of radio headphones.

The mod is made by KaiQ, based on real headphones from the early 90s.

The mp3 player can be turned on when the player walks, rides a bike or any other vehicle. In addition, you can turn on the normal game radio on bicycles and special vehicles (police cars, etc.).

Installation:

  • MP3 folder — in the root folder of the game;
  • HeadSetRadio — in the modloader folder.

Functions and controls (everything can be customized in .ini):

  • R+M — turn on MP3 player;
  • R+N — turn on radio.

The same keys can be used to switch modes. Normal in-game radio does not work when the player is on foot!

The rest of the keys are assigned to the numeric keypad by default:

  • R+7 — track backward;
  • R+9 — track forward;
  • R+1 — folder back;
  • R+3 — folder forward;
  • R+8 — pause;
  • R+(+) — add volume;
  • R+(-) — turn down the volume.
  • R+(*) — enable random track mode

Random track modes can be configured in .ini. There are two options

- random file from any subfolder in MP3\

- random file from the currently playing folder

There should not be anything in MP3\ folder except subfolders with MP3 files and

fld_hsr.dat (that's index file, don't touch it !) And don't create empty subfolders in MP3\

You can put nfo.txt in every subfolder with mp3 files to display a "station" name when you switch to this folder. See example MP3 in mod's archive.

Music composed by Liborio Conti. No copyright limitations (except taking credit for it).

Changelog:

Updated to version 2.1

- a lot of fixes: track switching logic, indexing and other stuff

- two random play modes added

Updated to version 2.

- added support for long folder and file names. No need to mess with 0,1,2 and such.

Put your folder into GTA San Andreas\MP3\your_music
