First person mod for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - Definitive Edition
The Unreal Engine "Virtual Reality Mode" variable is available in the San Andreas Definitive Edition by adding the line "gta.vr = 1" to the CustomSettings.ini file found in: C: \ Users \ Administrator \ Documents \ Rockstar Games \ GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition \ Config \ WindowsNoEditor
I was looking for a way to get the new first-person version of San Andreas, or waited to find a mod made by an experienced modder and Unreal programmer ... but that remains to be done. Luckily, I and others (at GTAForums) found that there is room for the Unreal Engine console variables in the CustomSettings.ini file included in the save folders on the PC. To quote the Grove Street games in the ini files:
"Hello Friends! Hope you have a nice day. Place any console variables you want to explicitly override, regardless of user settings, in this file. Have fun! Love GSG"
Here's how players can get a rudimentary first-person camera in San Andreas Definitive Edition, V (this camera does not work when aiming a weapon, only while awake on foot):
