I replayed Telltale games and my brain went blank. The result is this something that (no kidding) is the first ever (at least I haven't heard of others) DYOM project in the genre of... interactive movie. Not a cutscene, but really interactive, in which your actions (yes, it’s yours) will have their consequences. Of course, DYOM itself is too linear for this, and therefore several CLEO scripts are directly integrated into the project, just providing this very non-linearity.

The episode itself is short, about 20 minutes long. It is essentially an introductory, pilot. Let's see how it goes on, and if I have enough time and patience to release a sequel, that's why I don't promise anything.

PLOT: A certain guy named Edmund with a rather dark past drives into a small roadside town to look for Arlene's girlfriend.

A COUPLE OF FEATURES:

1. The project has its own main menu (requires an additional test, recently added, but generally works)

2. Your solutions are written to an external file to be used in the next episodes

3. There are achievements in the project! Planned for five per episode

4. There are still QTE bunnies, so far only in a couple of places per episode, but more are planned in the future

INSTALLING

Throw the right folders in the right folders. If, by some miracle, a reviewer / let's player from YouTube reads this, then be careful with the music. All music in SD folder.

ATTENTION!

VERSION ! REQUIRED FOR CORRECT WORK! CLEO NOT LOWER4.3 !!!

DELETE

It is enough to demolish the _autorun file in the DSL folder so that this impudent malicious non-removable menu does not appear at startup.

If you want to return to The Condor Effect in the future, do not delete the TCE folder, otherwise you will then have to replay or generate random choices

THE CONDOR EFFECT. Эпизод 1: Баллада об ищущем

Я переиграл в игры от Telltale, и в мозгу у меня глюкануло. Результатом является данное нечто, что (без шуток) является первым в истории (во всяком случае, о других я не слыхал) DYOM-проектом в жанре... интерактивного кинца. Не катсценного, а действительно интерактивного, в котором твои действия (да-да, именно твои) будут иметь свои последствия. Разумеется, сам DYOM для этого слишком линеен, и оттого непосредственно в проект интегрировано несколько CLEO-скриптов, как раз и обеспечивающих эту самую нелинейность.

Сам по себе эпизод небольшой, его продолжительность составляет около 20 минут. Он по сути дела ознакомительный, пилотный. Посмотрим, как дальше пойдет, и хватит ли у меня времени и терпения выпустить продолжение, оттого ничего не обещаю.

СЮЖЕТ: В небольшой придорожный городок для поисков девушки Арлин заезжает некий парень по имени Эдмунд с довольно темным прошлым. И не успев перезнакомиться с его обитателями, влипает в весьма неприятную историю, связанную с местным шерифом...

ПАРА ОСОБЕННОСТЕЙ:

1. В проекте имеется своя главная менюшка (требует дополнительного теста, прикрутили недавно, но в целом работает)

2. Ваши решения записываются во внешний файл, дабы быть использованными в следующих эпизодах

3. В проекте есть ачивки! Планируется по пять штук на эпизод

4. Еще есть зайчатки QTE, пока только в паре мест за эпизод, но в будущем планируется больше

УСТАНОВКА

Закинуть нужные папки в нужные папки. Если каким-то чудом это читает обзорщик/летсплейщик с Ютуба, то аккуратнее с музыкой. Вся музыка в папке SD.

ВНИМАНИЕ!

ДЛЯ КОРРЕКТНОЙ РАБОТЫ НЕОБХОДИМА ВЕРСИЯ CLEO НЕ НИЖЕ 4.3!!!

УДАЛЕНИЕ

Достаточно снести файл _autorun в папке DSL, чтоб эта наглая зловредная неубираемая менюшка не появлялась при запуске. Чтобы с корнем выдрать ее с компьютера, нужно удалить все файлы из папки /CLEO, содержащие в названии буквы ТСЕ.

Если хотите в будущем вернуться к The Condor Effect, не удаляйте папку TCE, иначе потом придется перепроходить или генерировать рандомные выборы
