Game Handling Editor v1.1
Description:
This script adds a game editor Handling settings (characteristics) of vehicles. Now you can change the handling (characteristics) of any vehicle right in the game.
Changes in version 1.1
- The size of the inscriptions along the length has been slightly reduced.
- If the editor is open when the player is driving a vehicle, then right-click on the model ID input box in the upper left corner and the editor will automatically write the model ID of the current vehicle.
- Fixed a bug with the "Save" button, which incorrectly saved the Handling parameters of the current car model ID to the INI file. Because of this, the "Open" button did not work, which should have loaded the parameters of the current car model ID from the Handling INI file and opened them in the editor itself.
Features:
- The game editor has all the options for each line in the file handling.cfg
- Ability to customize the flags of models and handling'a.
- Apply the changed handling'a parameters of the current car to the game.
- Convert all handling'a parameters to string for handling.cfg file
The development of the game editor was based on two programs: HandlingED and FlagStudio. It was for them that a similar interface of the game's handling settings editor was compiled.
The archive contains the HandlingIDs.txt file, which contains a list of all standard machines:
The first column is the HandlingID number, the second column is the HandlingID name, the third column is the machine model name.
To start setting up the parameters of the car you need, you must first find out the model ID from it and then enter it into the ID box in the upper left corner of the game editor. All standard vehicles (400-611) can be configured in this game editor.
Weaknesses:
- After the parameter editor has converted it into a string in the ConvertHandling.txt file, it is necessary to rename the first parameter (which is responsible for the HandlingID of the machine) from the model ID number to the name of this HandlingID. All their names are in the handling.cfg file (first parameter) or in the HandlingIDs.txt file (second column). The editor only works on standard model IDs (400-611) or Handling ID numbers (0-209).
Bugs:
- The value of the MaxVelocity parameter (which is responsible for the maximum speed of the car) is not displayed correctly in the game editor. It is not recommended to set the value too high (for lovers of crazy speed in a car), if you drive at crazy speed and crash, the game will freeze tightly. When converted to a string, this parameter will also be written with an incorrect value, you will have to correct it manually.
- Also, the value of the EngineAcceleration parameter (which is responsible for the acceleration of the car) is displayed incorrectly on some ID Handling machines. Therefore, after converting the string, you will have to correct this parameter manually, it comes after the MaxVelocity parameter in the Handling.cfg file.
- It is not recommended to change the value of the VehicleAnimGroup parameter (which is responsible for the animation of the peds) and apply it to the game.
- The machine does not behave differently after making changes to the handling parameters for this machine. The solution is to respawn this car. There is also a second reason, perhaps when you added a car to a new model ID in the vehicles.ide file, then you probably assigned the same Handling ID Name (second column of the HandlingIDs.txt file) to it as the standard car, and now it is a standard the machine does not accept parameters due to assigning its own Handling ID name to the machine with the new ID.
It is NOT recommended to use the spent crack and others in which English letters are replaced by Russian ones. The editor has only English localization, and those who have such localizations may have problems with incorrect display of letters in the inscriptions in the game itself, using this editor.
Requires CLEO v4.3
Recommended setting:
ASI plugin Mousefix or SilentPatch
Installation:
Throw the contents of the archive into the game folder, agreeing to a replacement.
