GTA Vice City has a very annoying bug on modern computers. When the frame limiter is disabled, the fps increases to 250 during the game and up to 1200 during loading. As a result, due to the very high FPS value, the game produces a lot of unpleasant bugs. For example, it may freeze during the loading of the save / the beginning of the cutscene. The reverse is very slow, the mission to the film studio where you need to fly the Skimmer becomes impossible.

A seemingly simple solution would be to simply turn on the frame limiter. But the problem is that the game will only give out 30 fps. It’s not very pleasant to play Vice City with such FPS, as smoothness disappears. The ideal FPS in this case is 60 (by the way, in GTA 3, when the limiter was disabled, the maximum FPS was 60). With this FPS, the game runs very smoothly and at the same time there are no bugs.

You don't have to dig into video card drivers to get that kind of FPS in Vice City. Now the frame limiter will be 60 fps, and not 30 as before. By the way, you can edit the limiter by opening fpslimit.cfg with notepad.

В GTA Vice City есть очень неприятный баг на современных компьютерах. При отключении ограничителя кадров фпс увеличивается до 250 во время игры и до 1200 во время загрузки. В результате из-за очень высокого значения фпс, игра выдаёт множество неприятных багов. Например, может зависнуть во время загрузки сейва/начала катсцены. Задний ход очень медленный, миссия на киностудию, где нужно летать на Скиммере становится невыполнимой.

Казалось бы простым решением будет просто включить ограничитель кадров. Но вот проблема в том, что игра будет выдавать всего лишь 30 фпс. Играть в Вайс-сити с таким фпс не совсем приятно, так как исчезает плавность. Идеальным фпс в данном случае является 60 (кстати, в GTA 3 при отключении ограничителя максимальный фпс был 60). При таком фпс игра идёт очень плавно и в тоже время не возникает никаких багов.

Не нужно копаться в драйверах видеокарты, чтобы достичь такого фпс в Вайс-сити. Достаточно скачать эти два файла и кинуть в папку с игрой. Теперь ограничитель кадров станет 60 фпс, а не 30 как раньше. Кстати, вы можете редактировать ограничитель, открыв fpslimit.cfg с помощью блокнота.
